Conn Creek and Rector Creek riparian enhancement projects

Invasive non-native eucalyptus and tree-ofheaven removal and native plant revegetation

This project was conducted in collaboration with multiple landowners: Beringer Vineyards, Heitz Cellars, and Krug Winery, all certified Fish Friendly Farming program participants. It involved removal of non-native, invasive Acacia, giant reed, eucalyptus, Himalayan blackberry, tree-of-heaven, blue periwinkle, and fennel from several miles along Conn Creek and Rector Creek, tributaries to the Napa River in Napa County. The sites were then revegetated with native plants. Project funding was provided by the California State Water Resources Control Board.
