Golden Vineyards

Golden Vineyards was established in 1996 in Redwood Valley. The Heart Arrow Ranch is a 970-acre property with 32 acres of vineyards and olive orchards owned by Joe and Julie Golden. Situated in the mountains above Forsythe Creek, the property protects the headwaters of several major tributary creeks to the Russian River which support salmon and steelhead. This ranch was enrolled in 2002 and was recognized for its environmental excellence in 2007 with an award for Light Touch Vineyard Development and Operation. Management of the property ocuses on soil conservation, and uses organic and biodynamic methods. The Golden Family are third generation farmers in Mendocino County and are dedicated to using environmentally sound practices to grow grapes, to promoting wildlife habitat on their property and to passing this legacy onto their children and future generations

Light vineyards change text Light Vineyards is an organic vineyard near the west fork of the Russian River. Thousands of oak trees were planted over the rangeland portion of the property and a major riparian restoration of the west fork of the Russian River just downstream of the East Road Bridge was completed.
